No obvious wing droop reported today. No bruising or inflammation noted.
The previously sutured wound has a hard scab. I am a little concerned that the scab is there because the wound is not perfectly opposed. There is still a chance of dehiscence, but I opted not to disturb it today.
I think it is fine to d/c Meloxicam and Pentoxifylline.
Recheck mid-week, and next Friday. Dr Gardner

NOTE: went back out to check and he definitely holds the end of the left wing down, hesitant to fly. Put back on Meloxicam. Dr Gardner

Anesthetized briefly to check wing. Removed bandage - puncture wound is small but deep, into muscle.
Scrubbed and flushed wound, removed a bit of debris in the muscle. See surgery report

Distal wing is still red and there are feces on the tip of the wing.
Cleaned wing w/ warm water. Start Pentoxifylline, check to make sure wing is not drooping significantly and needs a wrap. Dr Gardner

Bird has what appears to be Elmerria (according to our chart), this falls under the heading of coccidia. Since there were so many of them, decided to give a 3 day course of Albon, recheck the fecal and possibly continue with meds.

BAR and clacky in box. Feathers on wings, tail, and body all very dirty with mud and other debris. One definite puncture wound on left wing mid ulna/radius ventrally approx. 4mm in length with tendon showing. Wing is swollen and red all along ulna/radius. Potential other very minor tears around the left metacarpals on feathers 7,8,9 by feather shaft. Metacarpals also very red. Treated and placed in KR2 incubator.
